Beneath the April sun
Daffodils and early bluebells
Quivered in the Monastery
Grounds…

In oratorical silence
Cantoring at vespers
In consort with my fraternity
Led by Father Norbet.

As I read the second reading
Of The Mass
The Spirit of Christ
Arose in my heart…

Like a bride
I made my promise:
A mystical covenant
With a person
Whose presence was obvious.

I entered Carmel
Praising God
For calling me
To the Mount of Love
In the footsteps of Teresa
And John.

Now in mantled brown
I pursue the wounded Stag
Upon the hill
With the help of my friends
Elizabeth and Therese

Our journey of faith begins and ends with one desire, a solemn desire: to love and be loved. Where else is this solemn desire expressed in one's heart, mind, soul, then within the celebration of the Holy Eucharist wherein we become a member of Christ's divine nature and He of our human nature. It is then when the priest prays: "By the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the divinity of Christ who humbled Himself to share in our humanity."

I chose St Therese as my Confirmation Saint, after praying for her intercession a couple of years ago I was introduced to the Catholic Faith in a fuller way and healed of anxiety and fear. St Therese pray for us all. AMEN
